Our central business functions are located in an easily accessible, bright and modern head office to the west of Lincoln, alongside our mission systems team, while the majority of our operational specialists are embedded alongside our Defence customers.
THE ROLE
Due to the continued success and growth of Inzpire, we are seeking a Chinook Mk6 Synthetic Training System Instructor to join our exceptional team based at RAF Odiham.
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver Chinook Mk6 synthetic training and ground instruction to whole crews.
- Deliver mission training to include multi-aircraft formations.
- Provide mission planning and scenario preparation.
- Develop, update, and maintain training syllabi in accordance with the Defence Systematic Approach to Training (DSAT).
- Create and present AAR briefings.
- Diagnose and assess crew skills.
- Support STS training schedules.
- Provide input to the on-going development of courseware, training aids, sorties and lesson plans as necessary to optimise and / or improve the delivered training in order to support achievement of training objectives.

THE PERSON
We are seeking a highly experienced, suitably qualified and proactive individual with a ‘can do attitude’ who is capable of working with minimal supervision who is not afraid to contribute their own suggestions and ideas for business improvement. Candidates must possess exceptional communication skills and be willing to embrace the Inzpire work ethic of loyalty, flexibility and consistently delivering above and beyond our customer’s expectations.
The following experience and skills are essential to this role:
- Operational experience of flying the Chinook MK4/5/6/6A with (desirable) minimum 1000 hours.
- Experience in NVD operations within 5 years of application.
- Certified to UK CFS(H)QHI B1 or QHTI equivalent (A2 desirable).
- Individuals with Training Captain qualification considered on case-by-case basis
- Management skills in a Support Helicopter training environment.
- Evaluation and monitoring of student's performance.
The following experience and skills are desirable:
- Chinook Instrument Rating Examiner (IRE).
- Knowledge/experience of synthetic training delivery and use of synthetic threat systems.
Due to the nature of elements of the role, the successful applicant must be a UK National and may be required to successfully complete National Security Vetting which may require criminal record, security service and credit reference checks; qualification will also normally require a minimum UK residency of at least 5 years.
