Our central business functions are located in an easily accessible, bright and modern head office to the west of Lincoln, alongside our mission systems team, while the majority of our operational specialists are embedded alongside our Defence customers.
THE ROLE
Due to the success and growth of Inzpire, we are seeking two Aircrew Instructors to deliver basic and advanced ground and simulator tactical training to aircrew from across Europe. Your primary place of work will be Air Base No1 Sintra, Portugal, with the remainder of your time being UK based. We will consider all types of flexible working to cover the two positions. The role will be varied but you can expect to join a team instructors dedicated to the development of aircrew with varied experience levels for up to 110 days or 22 weeks of the year.
The role includes, but not limited to, supporting the current Portuguese Air Force (PAF) contract and the future Multinational Helicopter Training Centre (MHTC) contract delivering:
- Classroom-based training as appropriate to the role in order to support a mixture of the Helicopter Tactics Course (HTC), Helicopter Tactics Instructors Course (HTIC), Composite Air Operations (COMAO) Course and Electronic Warfare (EW) courses.
- Provide SME input into mission planning cycles, manage simulator missions and provide after action reviews in line with the customer requirements.
- Support to other company projects where appropriate.

All travel and subsistence will be paid for by the company, and an overseas allowance is provided in line with UK government rates.
THE PERSON
We are seeking highly experienced, suitably qualified and proactive individuals with a ‘can do attitude’ capable of working with minimal supervision in small teams who are not afraid to contribute their own suggestions and ideas. It is essential that candidates are able to seamlessly integrate into established teams who work and live together for periods of up to four weeks at a time.
Candidates must possess exceptional communication skills and be willing to embrace the Inzpire work ethic of loyalty, flexibility and consistently delivering above and beyond our customer’s expectations.
Candidates must also be willing to work abroad, and in possession of a UK passport valid for a minimum of 12 months prior to any contract being awarded.
Required Experience and Skills
- Combat Ready Helicopter aircrew with operational experience on a military helicopter aircraft.
- Previous experience as a unit QHTI, QHI, QHCI, HWI or equivalent.
- Theoretical and practical military electronic warfare experience.
Highly Desirable Experience and Skills (not necessary to be successful)
- 2000 flying hours.
- Electronic Warfare Officer/Instructor
- DSAT Compliancy Training
- Simulator Instruction
Due to the nature of elements of the role, the successful applicant must be a UK National and may be required to successfully complete National Security Vetting which may require criminal record, security service and credit reference checks; qualification will also normally require a minimum UK residency of at least 5 years.
