Senior iOS Engineer | Product Security | UK (Remote) | Salary up to £95,000
I’m working with a high-growth technology business looking for a Senior iOS Security Engineer to join its Product Security function.
This is a highly technical role combining iOS engineering, application security and security research, with a focus on protecting mobile applications and SDKs against increasingly sophisticated attacks.
What you'll be doing:
- Design and implement security controls across iOS applications and SDKs.
- Develop protections against reverse engineering, runtime manipulation, code injection, instrumentation and application tampering.
- Work on application hardening, integrity validation and runtime protection.
- Research emerging mobile attack techniques and investigate potential bypasses.
- Carry out security architecture and code reviews.
- Develop security tooling, frameworks and libraries for mobile products.
- Work closely with engineering teams to embed security throughout the development lifecycle.
- Contribute to security research, technical proof-of-concepts and longer-term product security initiatives.

What they're looking for:
- 3+ years of professional iOS development experience.
- 2+ years of mobile, application or product security experience.
- Strong experience securing production mobile applications or SDKs.
- Expert-level Swift.
- Strong understanding of iOS architecture and internals, including Mach-O, entitlements, memory management and Apple security frameworks.
- Good knowledge of cryptography, secure communications and authentication.
Security experience
Experience with areas such as:
- RASP / application hardening
- Anti-tampering and anti-debugging
- Application integrity
- Certificate pinning
- OWASP Mobile Top 10 / MASVS
- Frida / Objection
- Dynamic instrumentation
- Jailbreak environments
- Runtime hooking

Experience securing mobile SDKs, working with device security/attestation technologies or conducting mobile security research would be particularly valuable.
