About The Role
We are seeking a skilled iOS Developer to join our dynamic mobile engineering team at CGI. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality native iOS applications that deliver seamless, engaging user experiences. Working closely with cross-functional teams—including product managers, designers, backend developers, and QA engineers—you will participate in the full software development lifecycle, contributing to scalable, secure, and high-performance mobile solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects within a collaborative Agile environment, where your ideas and technical expertise will directly influence the success of our digital products. The role is hybrid, requiring one day per week on-site in Glasgow for local candidates, or one day per month for remote candidates outside Glasgow.

To excel in this role, candidates should have proven experience in developing native iOS applications within Agile frameworks and possess a strong understanding of mobile development best practices. - Commercial experience in native iOS application development
- Proficiency in Swift and/or Objective-C
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries
- Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and responsive design
- Experience working within Agile software development methodologies
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills
- Knowledge of unit testing and automated testing practices
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest iOS technologies
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing native iOS applications using Swift and/or Objective-C
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, responsive, and user-centric mobile interfaces
- Integrating and optimizing RESTful APIs and third-party services to enhance app functionality
- Writing clean, scalable, and efficient code following industry best practices
- Conducting code reviews and implementing testing strategies to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Troubleshooting and resolving application issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks
- Supporting and enhancing existing mobile applications through continuous improvements
- Participating actively in Agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Researching and adopting the latest iOS frameworks, tools, and technologies to innovate and improve app performance
