iOS Developer
Location: London, UK
Work Model: Fully onsite (weekly 5 days onsite)
Contract: 6 months initially, with potential extension
IR35: Inside IR35
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced iOS Developer to design, develop and maintain high-quality, scalable and secure mobile applications for iOS platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, Backend Developers and QA Engineers to deliver reliable and user-friendly mobile solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and maintain native iOS applications using Swift.
- Build modern user interfaces using SwiftUI and UIKit.
- Develop clean, scalable and maintainable application architecture.
- Integrate REST APIs and backend services.
- Work with architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVC or VIPER.
- Write unit, integration and UI tests.
- Troubleshoot application defects, crashes and performance issues.
- Perform application profiling and performance optimisation.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Work with existing Objective-C legacy code and support progressive modernisation.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated build and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with globally distributed Agile engineering teams.
- Support App Store release and deployment processes.
- Follow Apple's security, accessibility and Human Interface Guidelines.

Mandatory Skills
- 5+ years of commercial iOS development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Swift.
- Strong experience with UIKit and SwiftUI.
- Good knowledge of iOS SDK and frameworks.
- Experience with MVVM or equivalent architecture.
- Strong experience integrating REST APIs.
- Experience with Xcode and Git.
- Experience with XCTest / XCUITest.
- Strong understanding of iOS application lifecycle, memory management and concurrency.
- Experience with CI/CD and automated build pipelines.
- Good debugging and performance optimisation skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
