Role: iOS Engineer
Location: Birmingham, UK
Working Model: 5 days/week onsite
Employment Type: Contract / Permanent
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced iOS Engineer to join our Mobile Development Team. This role is ideal for an engineer with 6+ years of iOS development experience, strong expertise in Swift and the iOS ecosystem, and a passion for building high-quality, user-centric mobile experiences.
The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with Product, Design, and QA teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable iOS applications and features.
- Develop modern iOS features using Swift, SwiftUI, Combine, and Async/Await.
- Integrate modern Swift-based solutions with existing Objective-C legacy modules.
- Build robust, user-friendly applications with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and clean code architecture.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA teams to deliver sprint-ready solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Optimize UI performance and responsiveness across a wide range of iOS devices.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure modular, maintainable, and testable architecture.
- Use Xcode Instruments to diagnose and resolve memory, performance, and rendering issues.
- Maintain and enhance legacy applications while transitioning functionality to modern Swift frameworks.

Mandatory Technical Skills
- 6+ years of hands-on iOS development experience.
- Strong expertise in Swift.
- Strong experience with Objective-C.
- Extensive experience with SwiftUI.
- Experience with UIKit and SwiftUI integration.
- Experience with Combine.
- Experience with Async/Await and modern Swift concurrency.
- Experience with React Native.
- Strong understanding of the iOS ecosystem and application lifecycle.
- Experience with Xcode Instruments for performance and memory analysis.
- Strong understanding of clean, modular, maintainable, and testable code architecture.
