IOS Engineer

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne (5 days onsite)
Salary: £40,000 - £120,000 depending on experience

We're supporting a rapidly growing financial technology organisation as they continue to expand their engineering teams and build innovative technology solutions across financial services and investment environments.

They are looking for talented iOS Mobile Application Engineers at all levels, from graduate through to senior engineers, to design and develop high-quality mobile applications used in demanding, real-world environments.

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative engineering team where you'll have ownership from day one, working alongside talented developers, product specialists, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful mobile solutions.

What you'll be working on:

  • Designing and developing high-quality iOS applications
  • Building intuitive, reliable, and performant mobile experiences
  • Working across the full mobile development lifecycle, from design through to deployment and ongoing improvements
  • Collaborating with backend engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders
  • Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Improving application performance, usability, and reliability
  • Staying up to date with modern mobile development practices and technologies

What they're looking for:

  • Commercial experience developing iOS applications
  • Strong knowledge of Swift and the iOS ecosystem
  • Understanding of mobile application architecture and development best practices
  • Experience integrating with APIs and backend services
  • Knowledge of software testing, version control, and modern development workflows
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively
  • Experience working within financial services, fintech, or other high-performance technology environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
