Job Overview

An accurate, confidential, and supportive administration service for patients, clinical teams, carers, and internal and external agencies (e.g., Local Authority, Public Health Wales) to provide a safe and efficient service through the sharing of triage information and appropriate support.

The post holder will ensure the delivery of a comprehensive, high-quality specialist secretarial and administrative service to the Infection Prevention and Decontamination specialist nursing teams and other health professionals.

  • Responsibilities:

    • Ensure the delivery of a comprehensive, high-quality specialist secretarial and administrative service to the Infection Prevention and Decontamination specialist nursing teams and other health professionals.
    • Guide and direct the team in handling day-to-day issues to oversee the smooth running of the department and provide support to the service.
    • Coordinate the Strategic Groups across the Health Board, including Medical Consultants and External experts from Welsh Government.
    • Coordinate whole Welsh coordination.
  • Main Duties:

    • Provide a comprehensive, high-quality specialist secretarial and administrative service to Specialist Service Managers, specialist nursing teams, and other health professionals.
    • Coordinate and maintain arrangements to facilitate the Strategic Expert Groups.
    • Maintain the office organization and triage calls into the Health Economy Specialist Service, e.g., Infection Prevention.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities

The office holder will ensure that a comprehensive, high-standard specialist administrative and secretarial service is provided to Matron, specialist nursing teams, and other professionals.

    • Provide a high-quality, comprehensive specialist administrative and secretarial service to Clinical Services Managers, specialist nursing teams, and other professionals.
    • Coordinate and maintain arrangements to facilitate the work of the Strategic Expert Groups.
