IP / Transport Engineer
Position
IP & Transport Integration Engineer – Ericsson Private 5G
Location
Solihull, UK
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years enterprise network experience
- OSPF/MPLS/VRF - Enterprise IT and OT expertise
- VPN and firewall knowledge
- Strong troubleshooting capability
Objective
Support enterprise network integration, transport validation, WAN/MPLS connectivity verification, VPN integration, security alignment, and ATP execution for the Ericsson Private 5G deployment.
Key Responsibilities
IP & Transport Integration
- Validate enterprise LAN integration.
- Validate NC-NC connectivity.
- Validate IP addressing implementation.
- Validate VLAN configuration.
- Validate VRF configuration.

- Validate routing implementation.

- Support network segmentation validation.

ATP Support
- Execute throughput testing.
- Execute latency testing.
- Support fault management validation.
- Support integration validation testing.
Troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot Layer-2 and Layer-3 connectivity issues.
- Troubleshoot routing issues.
- Troubleshoot firewall and VPN issues.
- Support end-to-end service validation.

- Support performance and capacity reviews.
- Support issue resolution.
- Participate in operational readiness activities.
Skills & Experience
Mandatory
- Enterprise LAN/WAN - Enterprises IT and OT experience.
- VLAN/VRF configuration experience.
- OSPF configuration experience.
- MPLS network knowledge.
- IPSec VPN experience.
- Firewall integration experience.
Preferred
- Manufacturing network experience.
- Private 5G transport integration.
- Cisco/Arista/HPE switching experience.
- Network troubleshooting expertise.
Deliverables
- LAN integration validated.
- VPN integration validated.
- Routing validation completed.
- ATP network testing completed.
- Transport acceptance achieved.
