Purpose
As an IPS Employment Specialist, you'll empower people with health support needs to find meaningful, sustainable work that matches their ambitions, strengths and individual circumstances. Every day, you'll help people build confidence, overcome barriers and take positive steps towards greater independence, social inclusion and wellbeing.
- Working closely with participants, health professionals, service providers and local employers, you'll provide personalised support throughout an individual's employment journey.
- From understanding their goals and creating action plans, to securing the right role and providing ongoing in-work support, you'll be there every step of the way.
- You'll use the nationally recognised Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach, receiving full training to help you deliver a high-quality, person-centred service.
- Building strong relationships with employers will be a key part of the role, creating opportunities that lead to successful and lasting employment outcomes.

This is a varied, rewarding and field-based role where no two days are the same. One day you might be meeting a participant to explore their career aspirations, the next you're working with a local employer to open doors to new opportunities.
You'll manage your own caseload and work towards key performance targets, including programme starts, job outcomes, job retention and IPS fidelity standards, while demonstrating Shaw Trust's values and behaviours in everything you do.

You will be based in Birmingham
