Location: Hampshire
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £35,920.00 - £51,640.00 per annum
Starting salary: £36,425.31 per annum
Please note: You must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.

About the role
The IPS Service Manager will lead and oversee the delivery of a high-quality Individual Placement and Support (IPS) employment service, supporting people with mental health difficulties to secure and sustain paid employment. The role involves managing a team of six, maintaining strong relationships with employers and key partners, and ensuring the service meets IPS Fidelity standards, contractual requirements and Waythrough policies.

What you’ll do
- Lead, support and develop a team of IPS employment specialists.
- Ensure the service delivers high-quality, person-centred employment support in line with the IPS model.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with employers, JCP, DWP and other stakeholders.
- Provide training, mentoring and guidance to staff, employers and partners.
- Monitor service performance, management information and data quality.
- Support contract management, reporting and preparation of information for commissioners.
- Oversee audits, risk management, health and safety, and compliance across the service.
- Identify opportunities for service development, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Act as an expert lead for IPS, sharing good practice across Waythrough.
What we’re looking for
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the IPS model and Fidelity principles.
- Experience of managing and developing teams, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Substantial experience of contract management, business planning and managing budgets.
- Experience of business development, innovation and service improvement.
- Experience of audits, performance monitoring and using management information to improve services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with employers, commissioners and partners.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, use sound judgement and delegate effectively.
- A proactive, solution-focused and outcome-focused approach.
- Degree-level education and/or relevant leadership and management qualifications.
- A full clean driving licence and access to your own transport.
