ROI Payroll Specialist
Salary: €35,000 - €40,000 per annum
Location: Home-based in the Republic of Ireland with occasional travel
Hours: 40 hours per week
Reports to: Lead ROI Payroll Specialist

About the Role
Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced ROI Payroll Specialist to join the EMS Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Payroll team.
As an ROI Payroll Specialist, you'll support the delivery of payroll services for a portfolio of Republic of Ireland and UK clients, ensuring payrolls are processed accurately, compliantly and to agreed deadlines. Working within SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP), you'll be responsible for running payroll processes, reviewing payroll results, investigating payroll issues and producing payroll reports and outputs.
Working closely with the Lead ROI Payroll Specialist and ROI Payroll Manager, you'll support the day-to-day delivery of payroll services, helping to ensure payrolls are completed accurately and on time. You'll also support payroll operations by resolving payroll queries, maintaining payroll procedures and contributing to process improvements where required.
The role requires a strong understanding of ROI payroll legislation, Revenue requirements and payroll best practice. We're looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and a genuine passion for payroll.

You'll play an important role in the delivery of payroll services, helping to ensure payrolls are processed accurately, compliantly and to agreed deadlines while supporting the smooth running of payroll operations.
What You'll Be Doing
Payroll Processing
- Process payrolls for a portfolio of ROI clients using SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
- Run payroll calculations and complete payroll checks throughout the payroll cycle.
- Review payroll results and investigate exceptions, discrepancies and variances.
- Support the successful completion of payroll runs and payroll-related activities.
- Produce payroll reports, reconciliations and client outputs.
- Complete Revenue submissions and statutory payroll reporting activities.
- Ensure payrolls are delivered accurately and to agreed deadlines.
Payroll Support
- Work closely with the Lead ROI Payroll Specialist and ROI Payroll Manager to support payroll delivery.
- Investigate and resolve day-to-day payroll queries and issues.
- Escalate complex payroll matters where appropriate.
- Support colleagues during payroll processing cycles and peak periods.
- Maintain payroll procedures and operational documentation.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure payrolls are processed in line with ROI payroll legislation, Revenue requirements and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and supporting documentation.
- Handle payroll data in line with GDPR and information security requirements.
- Keep up to date with changes to payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
- Support payroll controls and quality assurance activities.

Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Work within SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) on a daily basis.
- Support payroll system upgrades, legislative updates and payroll-related change activities where required.
- Contribute ideas to improve payroll processes, controls and ways of working.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of payroll legislation, processes and system functionality.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- 3+ years' experience processing Republic of Ireland payroll.
- Strong understanding of PAYE Modernisation and Revenue requirements.
- Experience processing payroll within SAP Payroll and/or SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Good Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to manage multiple payroll schedules and deadlines.
Desirable
- IPASS qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working in a payroll bureau, managed payroll or outsourced payroll environment.
- Knowledge of UK and other European payrolls.
- Experience working with multiple client payrolls.
- Experience supporting payroll system changes or legislative updates.
