An exciting opportunity awaits you as IS Infrastructure Finance & Contract Management Intern in our Technology and Process Optimisation department. The IS Infrastructure Finance & Contract Management Intern plays a key role in assisting the IS Infrastructure and Service Delivery team with a wide range of activities. This includes day-to-day contract administration and financial management to ensure the timely creation and receipt of purchase orders. Additionally, they will maintain and update the Master Contract register and supplier contact details accurately and in a timely manner. This intern position provides valuable support to the IS Infrastructure and Service Delivery Team in their Vendor Management activities.

As part of the IT Infrastructure and Service Delivery team, the IS Infrastructure Finance & Contract Management Intern is vital in ensuring the set-up, maintenance, and termination of IT contracts is done optimally for Eurostar's advantage.

This 12-month fixed-term contract position is based in our London Kings Cross office with hybrid working (expectation to attend the office 3 days per week).

This position has a fixed salary of £26,996.56 per year.

Requirements

You'll be responsible for...

Financial And Contract Management

  • Raise POs for the team and ensure timely receipting POs to facilitate invoices payment on the system
  • Keep track on all POs raised, update the record on regular basis to ensure information captured is accurate
  • Help review monthly financial spend reports to ensure expenditure is accurately accounted for
  • Review monthly telephony related cost including mobile phones, landlines and broadband etc and raise queries to the suppliers as appropriate
  • Maintain the master contracts register and keep it up to date
  • Produce quarterly contract renewal details and send to service owners for review, renew/termination; update the progress status on timely basis
  • Maintain a supplier contact list and keep it up to date

Project Management

  • Support the Project Manager to capture and understand project requirements
  • Analyze solution options and help with procurement processes
  • Planning of project activities using a variety of tools and methods
  • Project reporting
  • Build relationships with other teams and become point of contact for their needs
  • Help manage handover from project to BAU support teams

You'll need...

  • A degree in a finance related discipline
  • Organisational skills and problem solving skills
  • Teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Financial management skills: Experience in financial accounting and forecasting
  • Planning and organizational skills
  • Business Knowledge and commercial awareness
  • Influencing and negotiation skills, commercial awareness
  • Ability to work under pressure. Adaptability / flexible to changing demands
  • General computer skills including MS Word, Excel
