ISDA Negotiator – Prime Brokerage
London | Investment Bank
We are working with a leading investment bank seeking an experienced ISDA Negotiator to join its legal/documentation function in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a specialist with strong experience negotiating industry-standard trading documentation and a detailed understanding of the Prime Brokerage environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating, drafting and executing a broad range of legal agreements supporting the bank’s institutional trading and prime brokerage businesses. You will work closely with Legal, Front Office, Credit, Risk, Operations and Relationship Management teams to ensure documentation is commercially appropriate and executed efficiently.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead negotiations of ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes (CSAs), Prime Brokerage Agreements and related trading documentation with institutional clients and counterparties.
- Manage negotiations across hedge funds, asset managers, banks and other financial institutions, balancing commercial objectives with legal and credit requirements.
- Provide advice and support to Front Office, Credit, Risk and Operations on documentation terms, counterparty requirements and escalation points.
- Manage a portfolio of negotiations from initial drafting through to execution, ensuring documentation is completed within agreed timelines.
- Identify and resolve complex legal, credit and commercial issues arising during negotiations.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external counterparties.

Key requirements:
- Significant experience in ISDA/derivatives documentation and negotiation within an investment bank or financial institution.
- Strong Prime Brokerage experience is preferred.
- Detailed knowledge of ISDA documentation, CSAs and related trading agreements.
- Strong commercial awareness and excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex negotiations in a fast-paced investment banking environment.
