As a Satellite ISR Systems Engineer, you will support the design, evaluation, and optimisation of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities for satellite missions.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop advanced space-based sensing solutions, mission concepts, and data processing architectures, helping to ensure operational performance throughout the mission lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and evaluate ISR solutions for satellite platforms, including sensors, payloads, optics, mission planning, and data management systems.
- Support system architecture development and technical trade-off studies.
- Define requirements and produce technical documentation.
- Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, validation, and performance optimisation activities.
- Analyse sensor performance and data processing workflows.
- Collaborate with operational teams to support mission planning and ISR concept development.
- Provide technical support across the full development lifecycle.

Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in one of the following areas:
- Space Systems Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Physics
- Geomatics
- Computational Science
- Cybernetics
- Or a related technical discipline
Experience & Skills
- Experience within Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems.
- Understanding of multiple sensor technologies and their applications.
- Experience working with sensor data processing and analysis.
- Knowledge of Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) dependencies within sensor systems.
- Familiarity with RF technologies and sensors used within aerospace, defence, or space applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Structured approach to engineering tasks and documentation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
