The IT Account Manager

The IT Account Manager manages and develops a portfolio of existing customers, protects recurring revenue, and ensures customers achieve measurable value from their relationship with the company.

This role combines customer advocacy, commercial account development, and internal stakeholder coordination. It is not purely a sales position. The Account Manager must understand customer business priorities, monitor service performance, and collaborate with technical, operational, and commercial teams to deliver successful customer outcomes and long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Account Ownership

  • Act as the primary commercial relationship owner for an assigned portfolio of customers.
  • Develop and maintain documented account plans for all strategic accounts.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of each customer's business, technology environment, priorities, challenges, and risks.
  • Maintain regular engagement with operational, management, and executive stakeholders.
  • Coordinate internal resources to ensure commitments and customer expectations are delivered.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, opportunities, and account information within the CRM system.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
