Description

About Bright Software Group

At Bright, we are powering the digital practice of tomorrow – today.

We deliver products that help accountants, payroll bureaus, and businesses across the UK and Ireland work smarter and win more. From tax and accounts production to payroll, company secretarial, and document capture, our suite of integrated software is built around the real needs of the people who use it every day. We're PE-backed and growing fast — which means genuine investment in our product, our people, and our platform.

We believe understanding is the difference between working and winning.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the IT Manager, the IT Administrator is responsible for day-to-day administration of Bright's systems, devices, and infrastructure across the Leamington office and remotely.

You'll be the first point of contact for IT support, a contributor to our Azure estate and central IT projects, and an active partner to the CISO in maintaining Cyber Essentials Plus certification.

It's a hands-on, varied role with genuine scope to grow into cybersecurity and broader IT infrastructure as the business scales.

What Success Looks Like

  • Colleagues get fast, effective IT support and issues are resolved and people stay productive.
  • Core systems, networks, and devices are well maintained, up to date, and secure.
  • Our asset register is consistently up-to-date, accurate and our IT policies are consistently applied.
  • You're building knowledge and taking on greater ownership over time, in security, infrastructure, or wherever your interest takes you.
  • Central IT projects and the Azure estate are well managed, with your contribution visible across the wider IT team.
  • Cyber Essentials Plus certification is maintained, IT is resilient, and emerging threats are being actively monitored and flagged.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Working at Bright

The software is genuinely good — and when you're in a support role, that matters. You're not apologising for the product; you're helping colleagues get the most out of tools that are built to make working lives easier.

The culture is collaborative and human. We've grown a lot, but it still feels like a place where people know each other and look out for one another. You're taken care of.

There's real autonomy here. We invest heavily in AI and emerging technology, which means the pace is fast and the opportunities to learn are genuine — not theoretical.

It's a place where curious people thrive.
