Location: Sheffield, UK - Fully office based

Annual Salary: £25k - £30k per annum

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

Contract: Permanent

Are you organised, detail oriented, and ready to support the smooth day-to-day operations of an IT team? Twinkl HQ is looking for an IT Administrator to own essential IT administration, including asset records, purchasing processes, and general support duties. You don't need to know everything about IT. We're looking for someone organised, curious and keen to learn. You will be a central figure within our IT team, and play a vital role in ensuring our IT systems remain accurate, updated, and ready for our team to rely on.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Administration: Manage routine IT administration tasks, accurately and on time.
  • Asset Management: Maintain precise asset records, including logging new devices, recording returns, and updating ownership status for starters, movers, and leavers.
  • Purchasing: Oversee IT purchasing processes, ensuring our purchase processes are followed with an extreme level of accuracy.
  • Service Support: Act as a helpful point of contact for users, answering inquiries, working with the IT team to define the right equipment solutions. Giving timely updates.
  • Operational Integrity: Provide reliable data for IT planning and keep our infrastructure and inventory records audit-ready.

What You Bring

  • Attention to Detail: You take pride in maintaining accurate records and consistently check your work for errors.
  • Process Driven: You are comfortable following established procedures and know when to flag missing approvals or unusual requests to the IT team.
  • Technical Competency: Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Email) and experience with or an ability to learn service desk and asset management tools.
  • Communication: You communicate clearly and respectfully, whether you are updating service tickets or discussing technical information with colleagues.
  • Proactive Approach: You are a self-starter who manages your own workload effectively and is always looking for ways to improve our admin processes.
