Role Summary

Aubay UK is seeking an experienced IT Agile Coach / Project Manager to support strategic technology delivery and organisational agility initiatives across complex digital and engineering portfolios.

This hybrid role combines Agile Coaching (70%) and Project Management (30%), focusing on helping leaders, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and delivery teams adopt Lean-Agile ways of working while ensuring successful project execution. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement, strengthen Agile maturity, and provide project leadership with effective governance, stakeholder management, risk control, and delivery oversight.

The ideal candidate will possess strong Agile coaching capabilities alongside proven project management experience, enabling teams and stakeholders to improve collaboration, enhance value delivery, and achieve successful business outcomes.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as an Agile Coach, Delivery Lead, Scrum Master, or Project Manager within technology environments
  • Strong knowledge of Lean-Agile principles, Scrum, Kanban, and Agile delivery frameworks
  • Experience within commodities trading or energy trading environments
  • Experience supporting Agile transformation and organisational change initiatives
  • Experience coaching leaders, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and delivery teams
  • Experience managing projects through the full delivery lifecycle
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies
  • Strong understanding of governance, reporting, assurance, and delivery controls
  • Experience using delivery metrics and performance indicators to drive continuous improvement
  • Ability to work across business, product, engineering, and architecture teams
  • Strong leadership, influencing, and coaching capabilities

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience working within Digital, Technology, Engineering, or Product organisations
  • Agile certifications such as SAFe, ICAgile, CSM, PSM, or similar
  • Project Management certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent
  • Experience facilitating large-scale planning events, dependency workshops, and retrospectives
  • Experience contributing to Communities of Practice and capability development programmes
  • Experience mentoring Agile practitioners, Scrum Masters, and Project Managers

Roles and Responsibilities

Agile Coaching & Capability Development

  • Coach leaders, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and teams on Lean-Agile principles and practices
  • Assess current ways of working and identify opportunities to improve Agile maturity and delivery effectiveness
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, retrospectives, and continuous improvement activities
  • Promote servant leadership, transparency, accountability, and a culture of continuous learning
  • Support leaders in creating environments that enable Agile ways of working
  • Contribute to Agile Communities of Practice and capability-building initiatives

Team & Delivery Effectiveness

  • Facilitate planning sessions, retrospectives, dependency management workshops, and multi-team Agile events
  • Improve backlog quality, prioritisation processes, and outcome-focused delivery practices
  • Identify, manage, and help remove delivery impediments, risks, and dependencies
  • Monitor delivery performance using Agile metrics and data-driven insights
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Business teams to align delivery with strategic objectives
  • Support the development of high-performing, collaborative delivery teams

Project Management & Governance

  • Lead project and delivery initiatives from initiation through to completion
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, quality, risks, and benefits realisation
  • Establish and maintain effective governance frameworks and reporting structures
  • Ensure compliance with delivery standards, assurance requirements, and organisational controls
  • Produce clear reporting on project progress, risks, decisions, actions, and delivery outcomes
  • Support successful business adoption, change management, and transition activities

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior business and technology stakeholders
  • Influence decision-making through coaching, facilitation, and evidence-based recommendations
  • Build strong relationships across delivery teams and leadership groups
  • Mentor Scrum Masters, Agile practitioners, Project Managers, and delivery professionals
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across delivery and operating models
