Contract Role: IT Agile Coach / Project Manager

Contract Location: London 4-5 days onsite each week
Contract Start: Starting ASAP (inside IR35)
Contract duration: End of 2026

Job Description:

The IT Agile Coach / Project Manager is a senior delivery professional responsible for improving organisational agility and supporting strategic delivery. The role is approximately 70% Agile coaching and 30% project management, focused on helping leaders, Product Owners and delivery teams adopt Lean-Agile practices that improve collaboration, value delivery and continuous improvement.

Within Information & Digital Engineering (IDE), the role builds Agile capability while providing project management support to deliver outcomes with appropriate governance, risk management and stakeholder engagement.

  • Coach leaders, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and teams in Lean-Agile practices.
  • Assess ways of working and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Build capability through mentoring, facilitation, training and communities of practice.
  • Promote servant leadership, transparency, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Support leaders in enabling Agile ways of working.

Team and Delivery Effectiveness

  • Facilitate planning, retrospectives, dependency workshops and multi-team events.
  • Improve prioritisation, backlog quality and outcome-focused delivery.
  • Identify and address impediments, risks and dependencies.
  • Use delivery metrics to support continuous improvement.
  • Partner with product, engineering, architecture and business stakeholders to align delivery with business goals.

Project Delivery and Governance

  • Lead projects and delivery initiatives through the appropriate lifecycle.
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, quality and benefits.
  • Establish effective governance and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with delivery and assurance standards.
  • Communicate progress, risks, decisions and actions clearly.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
