Additional responsibilities include receiving and recording support requests, resolving routine technical problems, keeping users informed, and escalating issues that require greater technical knowledge or authority.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to complete an IT apprenticeship which encompasses a blended learning experience, including the opportunity to gain a variety of on-the-job training, whilst also working towards an industry recognised professional qualification. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be able to build productive working relationships, and be keen to develop their skillset.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Provide Effective First-Line Support

    • Act as the first point of contact for IT incidents and service requests received by telephone, email, support portal, remote session, or in person.
    • Establish the nature and impact of the issue.
    • Provide clear and practical assistance.
    • Resolve routine hardware, software, account, and connectivity problems.
    • Confirm that the user can continue working before closing the request.
    • Seek guidance where the issue is outside their knowledge or authority.

    • Manage assigned tickets from initial report through to resolution, escalation, or formal handover.
    • Record accurate details of the issue.
    • Apply the correct ticket category and priority.
    • Document checks, actions, and outcomes.
    • Keep users informed of progress and delays.
    • Follow up outstanding actions.
    • Ensure every ticket has a clear owner and next step.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
