About The Role

As an IT Analyst at Hays Technology, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team supporting a well-established educational organization. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality technical support and ensure the smooth operation of IT services across multiple sites. Working closely with colleagues and stakeholders, you will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, manage service requests, and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the organization's IT infrastructure. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess relevant IT support experience, preferably within an educational or similar environment. A foundational understanding of first and second-line support is essential, along with the ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues effectively. An IT qualification such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, the ability to build relationships with users at all levels, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are crucial. Experience working within a service desk or IT support team will be advantageous, as well as familiarity with IT service management tools and best practices.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing first and second-line support to staff, students, and apprentices
  • Ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests
  • Managing and updating tickets within the IT service management system
  • Prioritizing tasks effectively and escalating issues when necessary
  • Routine system maintenance, asset management, and equipment deployment
  • Assisting in implementing IT projects
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identifying recurring issues to enhance service delivery
  • Maintaining technical documentation
  • Supporting security protocols
  • Mentoring junior team members
