About The Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Application Support Analyst with a strong background in SQL, Azure, and Power Platform to join a prominent UK financial services organization. This role is based in London with a hybrid working model, offering a dynamic environment where technology plays a crucial role in supporting business-critical systems across investment management, operations, risk, finance, and compliance sectors. As part of the production support team, you will be responsible for investigating complex production issues, analyzing application and data flows, troubleshooting integrations, and working closely with various stakeholders including developers, business users, and third-party vendors. This position offers an excellent opportunity to expand your technical expertise within a sophisticated financial services environment, supporting a diverse range of applications and platforms.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical skills and experience that align with the requirements of the role. Candidates should have a solid foundation in application support fundamentals, with proven expertise in SQL and modern Microsoft/cloud technologies. Relevant qualifications include experience with SQL Server, Azure, Azure Integration Services, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), Snowflake, and system integrations via REST APIs. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics, Windows Server, Oracle, Power BI, and scripting tools like VBA is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent communication abilities, are essential. An ITIL qualification or practical knowledge of ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes will be beneficial. Prior experience supporting applications within a regulated financial environment, particularly in wealth management, investment management, or asset management, will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive production and application support for critical financial systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Triaging and resolving technical incidents, application defects, and production issues promptly and effectively.
- Utilize SQL to investigate and resolve data and database-related problems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot system integrations, APIs, interfaces, and data flows to identify root causes and implement solutions.
- Support applications and services operating within Azure and Microsoft technology environments, including Azure Integration Services.
- Investigate and resolve issues related to cloud-based solutions and integrated services, ensuring seamless operation.
- Assist in supporting Microsoft Power Platform components such as Power Apps and Power Automate to enable efficient workflows.
- Work with Snowflake and other data platforms to diagnose and resolve data-related issues.
- Monitor application performance proactively, identifying potential issues before they impact users.
- Manage and troubleshoot application configurations, workflows, and deployment processes.
- Support application releases, updates, patches, and production changes in line with change management procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with internal development, infrastructure teams, and external vendors to resolve issues.
- Maintain detailed incident, problem, and change records to ensure compliance and facilitate audits.
