IT Applications Analyst – Windows 11 / Intune
Location: Morden – 3 day PW onsite
Contract: 6 months
Rate: £450 per day Inside IR 35
We are recruiting an IT Applications Analyst to support a major Windows 11 migration and application remediation programme within a local government ecosystem. To be successful you must have strong capabilities in moving desktop estate to Windows 11 and managing through Microsoft Intune.
You will take ownership of the application portfolio throughout the migration, working closely with internal IT teams, business stakeholders and a third-party application packaging partner. To be successful you must have delivered a similar project, preferably within the local government or public sector environment recently.

Key responsibilities:
- Manage application remediation, packaging, testing and deployment for Windows 11
- Deploy and manage applications through Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager
- Coordinate application testing and UAT with technical teams and business users
- Manage packaging requests and delivery through a third-party supplier
- Maintain accurate application registers and remediation trackers
- Use SNOW Software Asset Management data to review software usage and licence compliance
- Identify opportunities to retire, rationalise or consolidate applications
- Reconcile application, user and device data across Intune, SNOW, HR and asset records
- Produce clear reporting on progress, risks, issues and recommendations

Essential experience:
- Strong experience as an Applications Analyst / Application Packaging Analyst within a large organisation, with hands-on exposure to:
- Windows 10/11 migrations
- Microsoft Intune
- Application Remediation
- MSI/MSIX/Win32
- Application Packaging
- UAT
- Software Asset Management
- SNOW
- Licence Compliance
- Advanced Excel
Previous local government or wider public sector experience is a must have.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a large-scale Windows 11 transformation programme and take ownership of the application remediation lifecycle from packaging through to deployment and rationalisation.
