Foundation Apprenticeship in Access Control Systems for Hotels

Foundation apprenticeships are introductory courses that help young people get started in an industry. You do not need to have any specific qualifications or experience to apply. Anyone between 16 and 21 can start a foundation apprenticeship. If you're between 22 and 24, you can start if you:

  • have an EHC plan
  • are in care or have been in care
  • are in prison or have been in prison

About the Role

Keystep Solutions design, install, and support access control systems for hotels across the UK. From keycard entry to integrated security platforms, we help hotels keep guests and staff safe and moving smoothly. As we grow, we're looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to join our team and learn the trade from the ground up.

Wage

£15,808 to £25,114.96, depending on your age

National Minimum Wage Minimum wage rates (opens in new tab)

Training Course

Software and data foundation apprenticeship (level 2)

Hours

Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm

38 hours a week

What You'll Do at Work

  • Working alongside experienced engineers to install and commission access control systems in hotels
  • Learning to diagnose and fix faults on-site and remotely
  • Supporting our customers with day-to-day system queries
  • Getting hands-on with the latest hotel security technology
  • Working towards a recognised qualification while earning a wage

Training

Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
