Life on the team

Location: Hybrid role - Hatfield, Milton Keynes, Nottingham

You’ll be part of a growing IT Operations team where accurate asset data underpins effective decision-making, compliance, and cost control. Working closely with technical teams, service management, and key stakeholders, you’ll help ensure IT assets are well managed, visible, and delivering value throughout their lifecycle. The team values collaboration, continuous improvement, and attention to detail.

Must be SC Cleared, or willingness to undertake

What you'll do

  • Develop and implement SACM policies, standards and procedures
  • Operationally lead a team in day-to-day activities
  • Ensure the CMDB is accurate, up-to-date and complies with all organisational standards & regulatory requirements
  • Develop and optimise best-practice SACM processes both within the team and in advising other stakeholders, ITIL functions and service owners
  • Develop and deliver regular reports on SACM activities, providing insights and recommendations
  • Monitor asset utilisation and compliance along with cost optimisation recommendations
  • Perform regular internal & external audits and compliance activities, including risk management.
  • Assist with testing and configuration of Asset/CI tooling integrations

What you'll need

  • Ability to obtain or hold UK Government Security Clearance
  • 2+ years’ experience in IT Asset Management or a related role
  • Experience with ITSM / asset management tools (e.g. ServiceNow, ManageEngine, Remedy)
  • Excellent working knowledge of SACM structure and its purpose, including how SACM underpins governance, control, and service stability.
  • Good understanding of IT asset lifecycle management and inventory best practices
  • Awareness of software licensing models (e.g. Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle)
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience desirable
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
