IT Asset Coordinator
This is a hands-on role within a busy IT environment, keeping equipment, records and processes running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll take ownership of the full asset lifecycle, helping the wider IT team stay organised, compliant and ready to support the business.
Role Overview:
- Location: Hybrid – 4 days per week in the office
- Package: Competitive, dependent on experience

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Keep accurate records of company IT equipment, from laptops and desktops to mobile devices, monitors and network hardware.
- Manage assets throughout their lifecycle, including purchasing, receiving, deployment, reassignment, repair, replacement and retirement.
- Maintain clear records covering ownership, location, serial numbers, warranties, purchase details and lifecycle dates.
- Coordinate equipment for new starters, leavers and employees moving between teams.
- Carry out regular physical and system-based stock checks, resolving any discrepancies you uncover.
- Take ownership of the IT build room and asset storage areas, keeping equipment secure, organised and ready for use.
- Support procurement activity by obtaining quotes, liaising with suppliers and coordinating deliveries.
- Make sure returned and retired equipment is securely wiped and disposed of in line with data-protection and internal security requirements.
- Produce accurate asset reports to support financial controls, audits and compliance requirements.
- Follow established IT asset, security and regulatory processes, helping to keep standards consistently high.

Main Skills Needed:
- Strong attention to detail with excellent record-keeping and stock-control skills.
- Highly organised, with good time management and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Confident reconciling records, identifying discrepancies and following issues through to resolution.
- Comfortable taking ownership of processes independently from start to finish.
- Practical, methodical approach to managing physical IT equipment and documentation.
- Experience using asset-management or IT service platforms such as ServiceNow, SCCM or similar would be advantageous.
