IT Asset Manager – ITAM, SAM, HAM, ServiceNow ITAM, ServiceNow SAM Pro, Flexera, Asset Lifecycle, Software Licensing, Compliance, Procurement, Vendor Management, CMDB, Reporting, Governance, Managed Services, London (Hybrid)
This is an exceptional permanent IT Asset Manager opportunity to join a growing engineering services organisation undergoing significant technology, operational and business transformation.
About the Role
The IT Asset Manager role is a hybrid role based in London, requiring onsite attendance 4 days per week during the initial probationary period, reducing to 2 days per week thereafter. Occasional travel to UK sites may also be required.
As IT Asset Manager, you will own and mature the organisation’s end-to-end IT Asset Management capability across ITAM, Software Asset Management and Hardware Asset Management. The IT Asset Manager will be responsible for governance, control, optimisation and reporting across the full asset lifecycle, ensuring hardware, software and technology services are accurate, compliant, cost-effective and aligned to business needs. The IT Asset Manager will work closely with IT, Procurement, Finance, business stakeholders, vendors and managed service providers, using platforms such as ServiceNow ITAM, ServiceNow SAM Pro and Flexera to improve asset visibility, software licensing compliance, lifecycle planning and cost optimisation. The IT Asset Manager will provide executive-level reporting on asset utilisation, licence compliance, technology refresh risks, vendor performance and optimisation opportunities, supporting both operational efficiency and strategic decision-making. Strong ITAM, SAM, HAM, ServiceNow, Flexera, software licensing, procurement governance, reporting and stakeholder management experience are essential as IT Asset Manager.

Key Skills
- Proven experience as IT Asset Manager across ITAM, SAM and HAM disciplines
- End-to-end IT asset lifecycle governance, controls, tracking, ownership and disposal
- ServiceNow ITAM, ServiceNow SAM Pro, Flexera and discovery / inventory tooling
- Software licensing compliance, audit readiness, entitlement records and optimisation
- Hardware lifecycle management including procurement, deployment, refresh and secure disposal
- IT procurement governance, contract renewals, supplier performance and vendor management
- Executive and operational reporting across asset inventory, compliance, lifecycle and cost optimisation
- CMDB, ITSM, procurement and asset platform data quality, automation and integration
- Managed service provider governance, KPIs, SLAs and third-party accountability
- Senior stakeholder management across IT, Finance, Procurement and the wider business
- ITIL Foundation or equivalent ITAM / SAM experience

Desirable Skills
- IAITAM, CITAM, CSAM, CHAMP, ServiceNow ITAM or Flexera certifications
- ITIL Intermediate, ITIL 4 Managing Professional or equivalent certification
- Experience implementing or improving ITAM and SAM platforms
- CMDB governance, service mapping and ITSM integration experience
- Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, IBM or other enterprise software licensing models
- Multi-site, international, M&A or business integration experience
