Contract - IT Asset Specialist | Glasgow area | 3 month contract
Got a background in warehousing, stores or hands-on equipment audits - and comfortable around IT kit? This one's for you.
We're looking for an organised, hands-on IT Asset Specialist to lead a full physical audit and sort of legacy IT equipment as part of a site consolidation project in the Glasgow area.
What you'll be doing:
- Carrying out a full manual audit of IT hardware - workstations, peripherals, networking equipment
- Logging every item into a central inventory database by serial number and spec
- Categorising equipment: retain (move to another site), repurpose, or recycle/dispose
- Working closely with the onsite team and project engineers to support decommissioning
- Organising the physical movement of equipment and prepping it for transport or collection
- Keeping detailed, error-free records throughout in Excel/Google Sheets

What we're looking for:
- Strong organisational skills - comfortable managing high-volume inventory projects
- Confident with spreadsheets and databases for accurate record-keeping
- High attention to detail, especially with serial numbers and specs
- Physically capable - comfortable handling, lifting and sorting hardware daily
- A proactive self-starter who takes ownership of a clean, organised workspace
- Able to give clear progress updates to IT leadership and project managers

- Up to £40 per hour, Inside IR35
