Job Title
We are looking for an experienced IT Assistant to provide reliable day-to-day support for our IT systems and infrastructure. The role involves providing first-line technical support to employees, troubleshooting issues, setting up and maintaining hardware and software, managing user access, and helping to ensure our systems remain secure, up to date, efficient and fit for purpose.
This is an onsite role; the job holder must be within a commutable distance to our sites in Doncaster.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to employees in person, by phone or remotely.
- Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, software and peripherals
- Set up user accounts, access permissions, password re-sets and new starter workstations & equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network issues, escalating more complex matters to the IT Support Desk where required.
- Assist with the maintenance of servers, network infrastructure and other IT systems.
- Assist in managing software updates, security patches and antivirus protection.
- Maintain accurate IT documentation, records and asset registers.
- Support routine backups and data recovery processes.
- Assist with IT projects, system upgrades and new technology implementations.
- Promote and maintain compliance with IT security policies, procedures and best practice.

About You
Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential)
- Good knowledge of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting
- Previous experience in an IT support or helpdesk role
- Familiarity with Office 365, Windows 11 pro / Mac operating systems
- Highly proficient with all Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
- Strong problem-solving, analytical & communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Full UK Drivers Licence
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL) (highly desirable)
Personal Attributes
We are looking for a proactive, reliable and customer-focused individual with a real passion for technology and continuous learning approach. This is an office-based, onsite role with travel between sites when required. Occasional physical tasks such as lifting equipment will be required.
