IT Assurance Manager - CISA - CRISC - CCSP - Banking

Excellent opportunity to join an International Bank as their new IT Assurance Manager. You will play a critical role in ensuring the compliance of systems, controls and processes behind the Bank's technology. You will take ownership of the process of meeting CHAPS, LINK and Confirmation of Payee (CoP) requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Assurance & Regulatory Coordination

  • Coordinate technology assurance activities across the team. Managing responses to internal and external assurance requests and tracking to completion.

Regulator and Scheme Assurance Assessments

  • Coordinate annual assurance activities relating to payment schemes including: CHAPS, LINK, and Confirmation of Payee (CoP).

Control Standards & Governance

  • Coordinate the annual control standard reviews with team control owners, supporting in understanding control requirements and their applicability.
  • Support control owners in identifying appropriate evidence to demonstrate that controls are designed and operating effectively.
  • Support system owners in reviewing and completing system classification templates in maintaining accurate system information.

Project & Change Assurance

  • Provide assurance support for technology projects and material changes by:
    • identifying assurance requirements
    • supporting control documentation
    • coordinating governance activities
    • supporting project readiness
    • reviewing assurance artefacts before implementation
    • supporting SMF attestation activities by coordinating team inputs, evidence, and action tracking.

Operational Assurance

  • Support assurance activities relating to operational technology processes including:

    • Incident Management
    • Change Management
    • Infrastructure Operations
    • IT Resilience controls
  • Support development of Key Control Indicators (KCIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) where required and help the team with the management reporting.

Risk & Assurance Coordination

  • Coordinate assurance activities across the function.

Continuous Improvement

  • Support improvements to assurance processes by:
    • reducing duplicate assurance requests
    • improving evidence reuse
    • standardising templates
    • improving documentation
    • simplifying assurance processes where appropriate

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in IT Assurance, IT Risk, IT Audit or Technology Governance.
  • Understanding of banking technology controls.
  • Knowledge of IT control frameworks.
  • Experience supporting audits or regulatory activities.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written documentation skills.
  • Ability to coordinate activities across multiple teams.
  • Strong organisation and planning skills.
  • Knowledge of payment schemes - ideally CHAPS, LINK, Confirmation of Payee (CoP).
  • Experience with technology infrastructure or service management.
  • Familiarity with FCA/PRA regulatory expectations.
  • Professional Certification (e.g. CISA, CRISC, CCSP) or equivalent experience in IT assurance, risk, and security.
