Key Accountabilities

  • Shape the technology audit plan through continuous risk assessment, using your knowledge of UK financial services, LV= strategy, the technology estate and emerging risk.
  • Own a portfolio of IT audits end to end, from scoping and planning through fieldwork, reporting and action follow-up, delivering to agreed quality, time and budget.
  • Lead assurance across infrastructure, applications, cyber and information security, cloud services, identity and access management, data governance, technology resilience, and change programmes.
  • Help deliver Internal Audit’s strategy and modernise how technology assurance is performed, including greater use of data analytics, automation and AI-enabled audit techniques where appropriate.
  • Translate the Chief Audit Officer’s vision into high-quality, commercially relevant technology assurance and insight.
  • Act as a trusted technology risk adviser at governance forums, providing evidence-led, constructive challenge and clearly articulating business impact, root cause and the “so what?”.
  • Provide clear, concise reporting for senior management and relevant committees, highlighting significant risks, cross-cutting themes and emerging issues without waiting for the end of an audit.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior technology stakeholders, including the CIO, CISO and their leadership teams, while maintaining Internal Audit’s independence and objectivity.
  • Work collaboratively with business auditors, external auditors, co-source partners and subject matter experts so technology risk is integrated into wider business audits and assurance activity.
  • Maintain awareness of developments in technology, cyber, AI, operational resilience and financial-services regulation, translating them into relevant assurance priorities.
  • Build strong relationships with external auditors and co-sourcing partners
  • Lead, coach and quality-review the work of auditors and co-source specialists, helping colleagues strengthen their technology knowledge, judgement and report writing.
  • Provide timely, independent insight to strategic technology change, including system implementations, cloud adoption, data transformation, AI and supplier-led change.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
