Join us as a IT Automation Engineer

This is an opportunity for a technically minded individual to join us as a IT Automation Engineer.

You’ll be working within a team to operate a highly performant internal technology environment and associated productivity solutions within NatWest Boxed.

Hone your existing engineering skills and advance your career in this critical role.

What you'll do

Join the Colleague Technology Services (CTS) team to manage and automate NatWest Boxed applications and operational processes. Use your technology skills to solve problems and improve processes. You will use your scripting/service orchestration knowledge to automate repetitive tasks where possible.

You’ll also be:

  • Working with our Service Management, Security, Privacy, Engineering and People/HR teams and make sure CTS are delivered to a highest standards
  • Implementing new workplace IT tooling and support the evolvement of our identity and access management posture
  • Seeking opportunities to automate and improve processes of 1st line and 2nd line tasks
  • Providing second line support for tech escalation around device and app support. Manage changes to our SaaS applications to support the wider business requirements
  • Supporting with any incident resolution actions relating to Workplace IT tooling
  • Helping grow and mature the CTS team by bringing expert engineering knowledge and sharing it with the wider team.
  • Contributing to making NW Boxed a great place to work, you'll also help NW Boxed employees navigate Security, Privacy and Compliance requirements.

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with experience working with Scripting and Orchestration. You enjoy automating and orchestrating various processes and integrating multiple technology platforms to make tasks easier and more efficient.

Additionally, you’ll demonstrate:

  • The ability to identify and automate processes to improve operational efficiencies. You will be able to evaluate, implement and operate various automation tooling and technologies
  • How to strike the right balance between automation and manual process on a cost-benefit basis
  • Expert knowledge on Atlassian products and integrations (Jira, Confluence & Jira Service Management)
  • Administration knowledge of some of the following: Workato, Jamf Pro, MacOS administration, Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, Identity and Access Management, Single -Sign-On tools and foundation knowledge of Information Security
  • The ability to be a self-starter and a fast learner who has a flexible approach and enjoys collaborating with others to deliver a common goal
