The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our IT Solutions team as IT Business Sales Manager. Our IT Solutions team is responsible for the sales and distribution of IT products into the UK market.
We are looking for passionate and capable Sales Managers who have knowledge and sales-related experience in B2B channels. As IT Business Sales Manager, you will assume responsibility for identifying and capitalising on sales opportunities for LG’s IT Solutions products. This being Monitors, Medical Devices, Cloud Devices, Laptops and Projectors. You will work within all the accepted guidelines and procedures as specified by your line manager and all relevant LG departments.
Your Role & Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for LG to develop its market share in all IT Solutions products listed above.
- The role combines Business Development with Reseller Account Management, with the support of subordinate IT Reseller Account Manager.
- Identify and develop customer contacts and commercial relationships, particularly with major resellers.
- Negotiate pricing and promotional opportunities within accounts.
- Clear, concise and accurate communications with customers.
- Maintain high levels of awareness of market and competitor activity, customer trends and provide Sales Manager, IT Sales, Directors and Marketing Department with this feedback.
- Fully understand all of LG’s IT Solutions product ranges (Monitors, Medical Devices, Cloud Devices, Laptops and Projectors) ensuring a high level of product knowledge in terms of features and benefits to confidently and accurately sell to customers the products relevant to their needs.
- Fully understand all relevant LGEUK and LG Corporate business and product strategies.
- Customer training and product demonstrations.
- Key customer pre-sales/troubleshooting support.
- Customer samples management.
- Registering and maintaining pipeline deals through Salesforce.
- Provide accurate forecasting, sales out information, budgetary control within your sales area.
- Submit all written reports, as specified, by the advised deadlines.
- Maintain customer records including up-to-date account contacts, product listings and pricing.
- Drive customer Marketing. LinkedIn, Email CRM, Reseller Marketing, Call out days. Support Trade Show Events such as UKIO.
- Achieve agreed levels of day-to-day performance including customer visits and customer contact per day.
- Work within LG’s set guidelines in all areas of pricing, expenses and planning processes.
- Maintain good relationships within the Distribution network and provide support where required.
- Develop good working relationships with all LG internal departments including Marketing, Product Management, Sales Administration, Customer service, Logistics, Credit Control and Finance.
- Responsible for developing and driving the performance of the IT Solutions IT Reseller Key Account Manager.
- Collaborative working with the IT Solutions Distribution Account Manager.

Skills, Education & Experience
- Strong relevant commercial sales experience ideally focused on IT products.
- Strong network of contacts within the B2B IT Reseller eco-system.
- Compelling capabilities relative to identifying sales opportunities and new business development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Has a positive, collaborative approach, is proactive and confident liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding and experience with business and government tenders and framework deals.
- Good organisational and administration skills & attributes. Able to prioritise high volumes and work under pressure.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Must possess strong business acumen to understand and deliver the long-term goals of the company.
- Energy, drive and determination to help LG fulfil the potential of their compelling proposition.
- A flexible and positive approach to work.
- Good MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and presentation skills.
- Ability to operate and make sound business decisions with some level of ambiguity and with little or no supervision.
- Ability to work on own initiative within parameters of the role and proactively escalate any issues to line manager.
- Experience of working within a performance management environment – KPIs and Service Level Agreements.
