The purpose of this role
To support business partners in gathering requirements, providing expertise, and executing plans to enhance business capability and achieve results. This role involves collaborating with technology teams to deliver system incidents, enhancements, and solutions, as well as conducting analysis of business needs and managing stakeholders to support organisational growth and promote positive changes in the analysis process. Additionally, this role acts as a liaison between the business and IT teams, providing technical knowledge, executing production support tasks, and maintaining relationships to drive system and process improvements.

Your new role
As a Business Analyst, you will be working with business users and technology teams across multiple countries (Europe and India) and will act as the critical link between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating requirements into practical, value-driven solutions. You will partner with the business to elicit and define requirements, provide expert insight, and support the delivery of initiatives that enhance capability and drive measurable outcomes.
Working closely with technology teams, you will support the delivery of system enhancements and contribute to solution design.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as a Insurance Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key internal stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction are achieved.
- Act as the bridge between business stakeholders, underwriting teams, operations, and technology teams, ensuring business requirements are accurately captured, analysed, to be translated into successful technology solutions.
- Elicit, analyse, document, and validate business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Facilitate workshops with underwriting, operations, product, claims, finance, and technology stakeholders.
- Translate complex business needs into Epics, Features, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Success criteria and process models.
- Perform gap analysis and impact assessments for system changes and enhancements.
- Develop As-Is and To-Be process maps and target operating models.
- Support the validation of solutions delivered against acceptance criteria, through test planning, execution, coordination, etc.
- Partner with Architects or Development teams to produce appropriate design specifications.
- Identify and assess risks within your subject matter area, lead risk-related dialogue as the SME for that domain, and support stakeholders in making informed, risk-based decisions. Mitigate risks in delivery while keeping to agreed plan and timeframes.
- Support end-users by ensuring thorough understanding of user requirements and providing relevant process documentation.
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to achieve departmental service-level agreements.
- Participate in implementation planning and support successful outcomes.

About You
- Proven experience as a business analyst in Insurance domain and hands-on experience working with Policy Administration Systems (PAS).
- Commercial Insurance experience with a deep understanding of its challenges and opportunities.
- Strong ability to support stakeholders through change initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments with a capacity for managing ambiguity.
- Capable of fostering a culture of learning and applying new insights.
- Knowledgeable about the challenges of heterogeneous technologies and mainstream IT architectures.
- Expertise in defining business analysis approaches for complex programs and projects.
- Able to maintain impartiality and provide balanced perspectives.
- Proactive in identifying potential issues and taking preventative or corrective action.
- Self-driven, with a strong sense of urgency and focus on delivering results.
- Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
- Extensive experience in systems used in Consumer Lines such as Change, Guidewire, and Evolve.
- Solid experience in IT, with exposure to business process re-engineering, commercial analysis, development and monitoring of SLAs, and business transformation.
- Data analysis experience.
- Process mapping experience.
