About The Role

Are you ready to join a Company that really believes that people are the very heart of the business and really values your contribution? Due to the continued expansion of the business and increasing demands, we’re looking for a Business Analyst who will thrive in a busy operational environment to join our IT team.

In the role of a Business Analyst you will be required to work with Developers, QA, Data Analysts and Trainers collectively to develop and deliver the needs of the Business with a common understanding.

Key Duties of the role will include;

  • Working with the Business to define and document Business Requirements
  • Work with Stakeholders to define Project Scope and Develop Business Cases to support prioritisation of work
  • Carry out Gap Analysis between new Business Requirements and Existing Capabilities
  • Create supporting Documentation using appropriate Business Analysis Techniques
  • Acting as a product owner in both Agile and Waterfall settings
  • Managing the product backlog
  • Collaborating with the Performance Standards team to ensure newly proposed applications meet regulatory and procedural requirements
  • Produce and distribute a reporting suite on the effectiveness of the quality assurance function
  • Provide light touch Project Management where required
  • As-Is and To-Be Business and System Process Maps using standard notations such as BPMN or UML
  • Requirement Elicitation, Functional and Non-Functional
  • Epics, Features and User Stories
  • Development of Acceptance Criteria
  • Creation of Data Dictionary

This role offers hybrid working arrangements - with a mix of remote and office (Birchwood Park, Warrington). Hours of work are 37.5 hours Monday – Friday.

To succeed as a Business Analyst you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:

  • Previous experience in a Business Analyst role
  • Ability to demonstrate experience of various Business Analysis Techniques
  • Experience working in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Experience of all aspect of the software development lifecycle
  • Good understanding of project change processes
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder relationship building
  • Ability to develop presentation material to articulate Analysis findings
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload
  • Ability to work on own initiative and problem solve
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
  • Knowledge of the Hire or Construction Industry
  • BCS Business Analysis Qualifications
  • Experience using Azure Dev Op’s or any other development tools
