About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Data and ideally Master Data Management experience to support an enterprise-wide Master Data programme for a Global retail organisation. This is an initial contract running through to the end of the year, with a strong likelihood of extension.

This role can be remote with occasional travel for meetings. Outside IR35.

The role will support a major data transformation initiative, helping the business improve the quality, governance and management of master data across multiple domains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, document and analyse business and data requirements across multiple business functions.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and interviews across regional and global teams.
  • Conduct current and future-state process mapping.
  • Work closely with business teams to understand data structures, ownership and governance requirements.
  • Support the ongoing development of the organisation's Master Data (MDM) Strategy and programme.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardisation and improved data quality.
  • Support data governance and master data management activities across multiple domains.

Experience Required

  • Proven Business Analyst experience within complex business and IT environments.
  • Knowledge of data management, data governance or Master Data Management (MDM).
  • Strong process mapping and business process analysis skills.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business and data requirements.
  • Experience conducting workshops and managing diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience supporting MDM or data transformation programmes (highly desirable).
  • Exposure to product, packaging, manufacturing or supply chain data environments.
  • Experience working within SAP-led transformation programmes.
  • Experience with MDM platforms or similar solutions.
  • Understanding of regulatory or compliance-driven data initiatives.
  • Working with global organisations.
