IT Business Enablement Director, Manufacturing

The IT Business Enablement Director, Manufacturing, is responsible for bridging business objectives with IT capabilities to deliver measurable business outcomes for the Cytiva Manufacturing value streams. This role will drive strategic alignment, operational excellence, and innovation across enterprise IT initiatives, ensuring technology investments maximize value and accelerate business transformation.

As a member of the IT Business Enablement team, this role will partner with the Manufacturing and Quality organizations through establishing technology roadmaps, fostering strong partnerships, and embedding agile, process-centric delivery models.

This position reports to the IT Business Enablement Leader for Manufacturing & Quality, and is part of the Information Technology team. This position will also serve as virtual team lead and delegate for the IT Business Enablement Leader – Manufacturing & Quality.

What you will do

  • Act as the primary IT partner for Manufacturing and Quality for the assigned portfolio, creating a single interface between business leaders and IT, aligning strategies with Cytiva priorities, and sustaining strong relationships to deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Define, maintain, and evolve Manufacturing and Quality technology and application roadmaps, translating external trends, emerging technologies, and innovation opportunities into actionable strategies while ensuring a robust, integrated, value-driven technology landscape.
  • Lead value stream–based discovery and prioritisation by partnering with process owners, IT Business Analysts, and IT Business Enablement Leads to identify business outcomes, align them to appropriate value streams, and manage prioritisation against value stream backlogs.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery of strategic IT initiatives by defining and executing key deliverables, establishing delivery approaches with IT Delivery & Governance, mobilising value stream execution teams, and leading PoCs, URS development, and ROI / Say-Do tracking across the lifecycle.
  • Ensure operational excellence and compliance by adhering to GxP and regulatory standards, proactively managing portfolio risks, championing continuous improvement and innovation, and providing leadership across the IT Business Enablement pillar, including acting as virtual team lead and delegate for the pillar head.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
