IT Business Relations Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Digital Services team at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust as an IT Business Relations Manager. In this pivotal role, you will act as the strategic interface between clinical care groups, corporate business units and Digital Services, ensuring that digital priorities, investments and transformation initiatives are aligned with organisational objectives, operational needs and service user outcomes.

You will build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the Trust, providing expert guidance on digital opportunities and challenges, championing the delivery of technology-enabled change, and ensuring that digital services, systems and programmes deliver measurable benefits. The role will support improved organisational performance while ensuring compliance with governance, information security, clinical safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of Care Groups/Business Units IT Systems to enable Integrated Business Plans and Trust strategy and lead of efficient communication with internal/external stakeholders throughout.
  • Ensure any new system/upgrades to Care Groups/Business Units systems affecting Trust Business are tested thoroughly and that robust contingency plans are in place for continuity of these IT systems, and that system functionality is utilised to maximise the benefits to users and delivery of Trust business objectives.
  • Develop systems to improve operational and clinical processes to support business objectives.
  • Provide advice and guidance on a complex range of digital information and situations requiring analysis, interpretation, and comparison of a range of options.
  • Plan and organise a broad range of complex digital activities, formulate and adjust plans for the Care Groups/Business Units IT systems environment and oversee operational management of these systems as needed.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure on-going development and support of Care Group/Business Unit systems for clinical and non-clinical services.
  • Support with contract management and financial arrangements for clinical and non-clinical systems ensuring their integrity at all times and lead system owners to meet Digital System Standards.

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is one of the largest and most modern in the country. We serve around three million people and we’re highly regarded for our facilities, teaching and research. The Trust has around 1,450 inpatient beds across two sites in Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford. Our 11,000 strong workforce provide emergency treatment, planned operations and medical care from Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital in Stafford.
