IT BUSINESS SOLUTIONS MANAGER

The role is aimed to support JTI markets in Western Europe with data-driven decision-making strategy, primarily focused on Strategic Insights and Commercial Planning. As IT Business Solutions Manager for Data &Analytics this role involves the design, implementation, and evolution of data-related solutions. The focus is on maximizing the value of data through a combination of business acumen, strong analytical skills, and problem-solving expertise.

The role requires:

  • Data mindset and business acumen
  • Strong analytical background
  • Advanced project management and problem-solving capabilities
  • Familiarity with KPI management and insight generation processes which include data definition, ingestion, processing, analysis, and visualization
  • Familiarity with modern technologies which deliver data processing and advanced analytics

Responsibilities:

Capability Management identification and enhancement:

  • Work as a part of D&IT MARKETS & REGIONS to develop and implement a data strategy and define data solutions for informed decision-making in Western Europe. It includes collaboration with:
    • Markets in the region to collect/identify a demand and design a solution to address it
    • Other IT stakeholders (market and global IT) to enable data opportunities for business functions.

Closely collaborate with Global BTS and D&A teams supporting the roll out and evolution of corporate solutions:

  • Conduct fit-gap analyses in data sources, models, and platforms to enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Design and deliver market data solutions.
  • Liaise with IT security, Enterprise Architecture (EA), and Data & Analytics (D&A) teams to design sustainable, scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.
  • Ensure ownership of the analytical tools delivered to the stakeholders always providing the highest level of data integrity and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure the flawless execution of data projects.
  • Maximize the value of existing data sources and identify new data opportunities that could potentially add business value, including internal and external data sources.
  • Ensure cross-entity knowledge sharing to optimize IT investments maximizing their efficiency.

Rollout of Central systems and Market Mile:

  • Under direction of the RPD embrace and learn steps and effort required to rollout a system to more than one market in the region.
  • Work with other regions who are rolling out systems ahead of your region to gain knowledge and to help deliver the solution faster in your region.
  • Support other regional teams by engaging them and helping them understand what you and the team learnt for a successful deployment.

Geographically Distributed teamwork, & Operations:

  • This role will be part of a geographically distributed teams that will be responsible for a function within the region (M&S, Finance, Data, etc.).
  • This role manages the application portfolio (or part of it) of that function including the operational excellence (incident management, maintenance, enhancement and change request, problems, etc.) as well as managing demands and accountable for the execution of projects of that specific function.
  • Incumbent should broaden their technical and delivery skills using tools at their disposal, including but not limited to Freedom within a Framework, Data management, ERP and Sales solutions.
  • The role is responsible for ensuring that 3rd-party solution providers & external resources fulfil agreed-upon commitments and contractual obligations within budgeted costs.
  • You may at times and as decided by the Regional Digital & IT lead be seconded to the RPD to assist or run project on behalf of the region.
  • This role may lead projects to localize and roll out of centralized systems, including the detailed planning and execution of the project/changes, data migration, external resources and go-live.
  • During a crisis in one of the applications of the function portfolio, the role needs to keep close communication with the Market/Cluster D&IT Lead to ensure the right business impact and prioritization is given to the incident.
  • This role will also play an important role as expert in the technology stack of the function (sales apps, power apps, data, digital, etc.) looking for upskilling within that area of expertise and delivering via self-development or consultants’ solutions to the business demands.

D&IT Governance:

  • While ensuring adherence to JTI D&IT and Corporate governance standards, you will lead and manage identified changes & projects, and on occasions related teams, to ensure they are executed successfully. The incumbent will at all times work in accordance with JTI’s Project Management Framework, and established D&IT standards, policies and procedures, J-Sox controls, and industry best practices.
  • You will actively review technology successes in JTI and external environment, bringing to the attention of Business partners to explore the innovation within the virtual team’s remit.
  • Responsible for respective D&IT budgets for managed applications and services the Region. Responsible for planning of the AP/SP and LE processes and delivering financial commitments with clarity on how budget is used to run existing services, the cost of transformation/change and efficiency gained by the changes.
  • Optimize, control and reduce costs when possible, to improve regional budget efficiency and profitability.

Who we are looking for:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field or relevant certifications.
  • 5+ exposure to IT architecture and solutions for data flows among systems and applications.
  • 3+ business professional expertise (with relevant FMCG industry experience) in data analysis and insights generation.
  • Experience in delivering solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform with a special emphasis on data solutions and services.
  • Strong experience in project management, with a track record of successful execution.
  • Experience with budget management, contract management.

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Delivery on Azure stack (Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake).
  • Very good understanding of Azure PaaS management and resource monitoring.
  • CI/CD experience and DevOps.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and experience in Python/PySpark.
  • Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data from multiple sources to solve business challenges.
  • Knowledge in testing and validating Analytical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
