Job Title: IT & Business Systems Manager
Location: Thirsk
Salary: Up to £46,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, full time permanent
An established and successful business is looking for an experienced IT & Business Systems Manager to take ownership of its IT environment and business systems.
This is a varied, hands on role covering IT infrastructure, ERP and CRM systems, user support, data, reporting and technology projects. You'll work across the business to ensure systems are reliable, secure and effective, while identifying opportunities to improve processes and make better use of technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support the company's IT environment, including servers, networks, PCs, laptops and printers
- Provide day to day technical support to users across the business
- Administer Microsoft 365 and other core business applications
- Manage and support the company's ERP and CRM systems
- Act as a key contact for system queries, improvements and development
- Produce management information, reports and data analysis
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and better use of existing systems
- Support new software, hardware and business system implementations
- Maintain appropriate IT security, data protection and system controls
- Coordinate with external IT providers, software suppliers and contractors
- Provide support for website and e-commerce platforms
- Assist with system upgrades, infrastructure improvements and wider technology projects
- Help shape the ongoing development of the company's IT and business systems

About You
We're looking for a broad IT professional who combines strong technical knowledge with a good understanding of how technology supports business operations. You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in an IT, IT systems or business systems role
- Strong ERP experience
- Experience supporting CRM and other business applications
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and network infrastructure
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- An analytical approach, with experience producing reports and working with data
- Experience improving systems, processes and business efficiency
- SQL/database knowledge would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical users
- Good organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A proactive approach to technology and continuous improvement
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to the wider team
