Your new company

A leading public sector organisation in Sheffield is seeking an experienced IT Delivery Manager to join its technology function on a 12 month fixed-term basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering technology products and services, helping to bridge the gap between strategic planning and operational execution.

Working across product, technology and business teams, you will coordinate delivery activities, drive Agile best practices and ensure successful outcomes across a portfolio of digital initiatives.

Your new role

  • Lead the delivery of technology projects and product initiatives aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.
  • Identify and resolve delivery risks, issues and blockers.
  • Work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritise backlogs and maximise business value.
  • Monitor project progress and provide clear reporting to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage dependencies across multiple workstreams.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery performance and team effectiveness.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience delivering technology projects using Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience managing risks, dependencies and project delivery plans.
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery frameworks and tools.
  • Agile certification (CSM, CSPO, SAFe or equivalent).
  • Experience working with cross-functional technology teams in a complex environment.
