IT Delivery Manager - HMRC - SEO

You will work closely with Delivery Managers, Product teams and stakeholders to manage delivery activity, maintain governance and support decision-making by providing clear, timely insight into progress, risks and issues.

You will also contribute to building delivery capability, supporting teams to operate effectively and continuously improve how they deliver value.

You will take responsibility for the delivery of projects or workstreams within a wider delivery environment, supporting successful outcomes through effective planning, coordination and delivery control.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of medium to large-scale IT and digital projects or workstreams.
• Maintain delivery plans, governance and reporting, ensuring clear visibility of progress and risks.
• Identify, manage and escalate risks, issues and dependencies.
• Support commercial and financial management, including cost tracking and supplier engagement.
• Work across multidisciplinary teams and suppliers to maintain delivery alignment and momentum.
• Support stakeholders by providing clear and timely delivery insight, enabling informed decisions.
• Apply and adapt Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies to suit delivery context.
• Support team performance by removing blockers and encouraging effective ways of working.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and the wider Delivery Manager community.

Essential Criteria

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Experience managing or supporting the delivery of medium to large-scale IT or digital change.
• Experience operating within a structured delivery and governance environment, including delivery planning and risk/issue management.
• Ability to manage risks, issues and dependencies, maintaining delivery control and momentum.
• Experience working across multidisciplinary teams and/or suppliers to achieve delivery outcomes.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and support decision-making.
• Working knowledge of Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies applied in a delivery context.
