A leading public sector organisation is seeking an experienced IT Delivery Partner/IT Business Partner to join its technology leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity to shape and deliver a portfolio of digital and technology change initiatives that support organisational growth, innovation, and operational excellence.

Your new role

Reporting to the Director of IT and Information Systems, you will lead the delivery of a portfolio of digital, IT, and business change initiatives across Professional Services and Critical Technologies.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will ensure technology investments align with strategic priorities, deliver measurable value, and support long-term organisational objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the delivery of a portfolio of digital, technology, and business change programmes
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders and translating business requirements into effective technology solutions
  • Managing portfolio priorities, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies
  • Supporting the adoption of Agile and product-led delivery methodologies
  • Overseeing supplier, vendor, and contract management activities
  • Ensuring projects and services are delivered in line with governance, compliance, and quality standards
  • Driving continuous improvement and benefits realisation across technology investments
  • Leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams
  • Providing strategic oversight, reporting, and assurance to senior stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience leading large-scale digital, IT, or business transformation portfolios
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at senior leadership level
  • Experience managing budgets, governance, resources, and delivery performance
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing suppliers and contracts
  • Experience translating organisational strategy into technology-enabled outcomes
  • Knowledge of Agile, product-led delivery, and modern technology operating models
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning capabilities
  • Experience within the public sector, or another complex multi-stakeholder environment would be advantageous.
