Join a leading independent technology and services provider as IT Deployment Technician.
Job Overview: Technician 3 is responsible for deploying and configuring complex workstation environments, including multi-monitor, Trader, and MD&P desk setups, while ensuring high-quality installation standards and end-to-end deployment ownership. The role involves hardware installation, cabling, connectivity testing, quality assurance, and adherence to health and safety requirements within enterprise IT environments.
Location: London EC1A 7BA
Contract Dates: 02 Nov 2026 – 04 Dec 2026
Pay Rate: An hourly rate, in-scope IR35, of £19.85 PAYE) OR £25.75 per hour (via a Hays approved umbrella company).
Hours: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm

Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure complex workstation environments.
- Install and configure four-monitor workstation setups.
- Set up and deploy Trader desk environments.
- Configure and deploy MD&P user desk setups.
- Install monitor brackets, fixings, and monitor mounting solutions in line with approved standards.
- Work with Technician 1 resources to safely install larger monitor configurations when required.
- Install desktop devices on or beneath desks according to design specifications.
- Connect and configure all power, network, video, and peripheral cabling.
- Ensure all cabling is neatly routed, secured, and compliant with deployment standards.
- Configure, power on, and test monitors to verify correct display functionality.
- Power on desktop devices and confirm network connectivity.
- Perform installation quality checks and resolve any identified issues.
- Capture photographic evidence of completed installations and testing outcomes.
- Escalate technical, logistical, or installation issues to the onsite lead when necessary.
