IT End User Support Technician - Greenwich, London
We are recruiting for an IT End User Support Technician on behalf of our client. Our client helps connect the world through advanced submarine telecommunications infrastructure. Joining our IT team means working in a technically diverse environment alongside colleagues across engineering, production, marine, and corporate functions.
This is a hands-on first- and second-line IT support role, providing reliable and effective technology services to colleagues across warehouse, production, engineering, marine, and corporate support functions.
The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining IT service continuity, supporting business operations, and ensuring users have the technology and access they need to perform their roles effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-line IT support across the Greenwich site.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving PCs, laptops, mobile devices, printers, terminals, and other IT equipment.
- Provide technical support for Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, SAP GUI, AutoCAD, and other business applications.
- Manage incidents and service requests through the ITSM platform, ensuring timely resolution and accurate documentation.
- Administer user accounts and access permissions using Active Directory and IAM tools.
- Support employee and contractor onboarding and offboarding, including device setup, network access, VPN, and multi-factor authentication.
- Maintain accurate IT asset and configuration records to support lifecycle management and software license compliance.
- Provide hands-on IT support for production equipment, including label printers, machine PCs, and other operational systems.
- Work closely with operational and plant engineering teams to support industrial IT systems and production activities.
- Ensure IT services remain available during production-critical activities, including equipment loading and testing, with occasional out-of-hours support where required.
- Support endpoint security measures, including antivirus, encryption, and security patching.
- Contribute to ISO 27001, cybersecurity, audit, and compliance activities.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, user guides, FAQs, and internal support procedures.
- Collaborate with global IT teams on infrastructure projects, system migrations, and technology rollouts.
- Contribute to initiatives that improve user experience, service efficiency, and the reliability of IT services.

The role requires a practical, customer-focused approach to IT support, with the ability to troubleshoot effectively, communicate clearly, and work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical teams.
