IT Engineer

Location: Enfield, Middlesex, EN3 7FJ
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Engineer to join our Head Office team based in Enfield, Middlesex. The IT Engineer will support the existing first and second-line IT support teams by troubleshooting technical issues, diagnosing faults, and configuring/deploying IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, mobiles and peripherals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure and maintain IT hardware assets (PC/Laptop/MAC)
- Install, configure and update operating systems and business applications.
- Configure and maintain cyber security defences, including endpoint antivirus solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network connectivity issues.
- Perform data backups (and recovery) to support business continuity.
- Maintain and update computer systems to ensure reliability, security and performance.
- Manage user accounts, access permissions and associated security controls.
- Set up and support IT networks at remote site offices.
- Use remote access tools to provide technical support and troubleshoot issues.
- Keep up to date with emerging IT technologies and relevant industry developments.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of configurations, procedures and technical solutions.

Qualifications/ Experience/Knowledge:
Desirable Criteria:
- CompTIA + or equivalent networking qualification.
- ITIL Foundation
- Minimum 2 years experience
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Documentation authoring proficiency
- Attention to detail and accuracy
