Field Services Engineer - Herts, Beds & Bucks

Location

Milton Keynes base, covering Herts, Beds & Bucks (Field-Based)

Duration

12 Weeks Initially

Rate

£165 per day (Umbrella)


An opportunity has arisen for a Field Services Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of IT and communications infrastructure across customer sites.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality on-site technical support, ensuring equipment is installed and maintained to agreed service levels while providing exceptional customer service. This role would suit an engineer with strong hardware, networking and end-user support experience who enjoys working independently across multiple customer locations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Field Services Engineer, IT Support Engineer or similar.
  • Strong hardware break/fix, installation and troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies: O365, Windows 10/11, AD, Exchange etc.
  • Experience supporting desktops, laptops, peripherals and end-user devices.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, switching and Wi-Fi.
  • Experience carrying out on-site installations, upgrades and technical deployments.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to accurately document work completed and maintain service records.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel throughout the region.

Advantageous

  • Exposure to telecoms, connectivity or communications technologies would be advantageous.
