🚨IT Support Engineer | MSP | Edinburgh | £35,000–£42,000 DOE🚨
Are you an experienced MSP Engineer who enjoys solving technical problems and taking ownership of issues through to resolution?
I'm currently recruiting for an IT Support Engineer to join a busy technical support environment in the Edinburgh & Lothians area.
This is a hands-on senior position where you'll provide 2nd/3rd line technical support, act as an escalation point for other engineers, and work across a varied range of technical environments.
You'll be working across areas including:
- Microsoft 365
- Entra ID & Active Directory
- Microsoft Intune
- Windows Server & Group Policy
- Networking, DNS & DHCP
- Firewalls, switches, routers & VPNs
- Virtualisation
- Backup & recovery
- Infrastructure migrations
- Endpoint & infrastructure security

The key thing I'm looking for is how you approach technical problems. You won't be expected to know everything. However, you will need to be someone who can investigate an unfamiliar issue, identify the root cause, use the resources available to you, and take ownership through to resolution.
What we're looking for:

3+ years' hands-on MSP experience is essential, alongside:
- Strong 2nd/3rd line technical support experience
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Experience managing escalated technical issues
- Strong Microsoft and infrastructure knowledge
- Ability to work independently
- Confident communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Based in Edinburgh & Lothians or the surrounding areas

Microsoft certifications are desirable, but practical hands-on experience is more important.
