IT Field Engineer – South East

Home-based | South East Region (Greater London, Thames Valley & surrounding dealerships)

Permanent, Full Time | Company Car Provided

Salary Up To £39,400 Depending On Experience

At Vertu Motors, technology plays a vital role in delivering an outstanding customer experience across our 200+ dealerships. We're looking for a hands-on IT Field Engineer to support sites across the South East, including Harlow, Chingford, Waltham Cross, Bromley, Orpington, Slough, Reading, Ascot, Beaconsfield and Aylesbury.

This is a varied, field-based role where you'll provide onsite and remote support, resolve technical issues, install new equipment and support exciting projects including dealership openings, relocations and acquisitions.

What You'll Do

  • Provide onsite and remote IT support across your region.
  • Install, maintain and replace PCs, laptops, tablets, printers and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, networking and connectivity issues.
  • Support telephony, infrastructure and dealership technology systems.
  • Assist with site openings, refurbishments and technology projects.
  • Maintain accurate asset and inventory records.
  • Escalate complex technical issues and identify long-term solutions.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a 2nd Line, Desktop Support or Field IT Support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows devices, hardware and peripherals.
  • Understanding of networking technologies including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and wireless networks.
  • Experience with Active Directory/Entra ID and exposure to Intune or Autopilot.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Well organised, self-motivated and comfortable working across multiple sites.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the region.

Desirable Skills

  • Cisco Meraki networking.
  • Microsoft, Cisco or CompTIA certifications.
  • Motor trade or dealership systems experience.
  • Experience supporting site openings, relocations or acquisitions.
